Fall 2026 Recreation Team Registration

Recreation Team Registration Rules

• Teams may register online regardless of current roster size.
• Online registration supports up to 10 players.
• Teams with more than 10 players must email additional player names and email addresses to rosters@hyba.org.
• Additional roster information must be submitted at least one week before the season starts.

Mail-In Registration Rules

• Complete rosters (player names and email addresses) must be mailed to:
  • H.Y.B.A., Inc.
  • P.O. Box 361
  • Ellicott City, MD 21041
• Mail-in rosters must be received at least one week before the season starts.

Team Composition Rules

• Minimum team size is 5 players.
• Teams with fewer than 5 players may be supplemented with players from general registration.
• To guarantee league placement, team registration must be completed by the deadline established by HYBA each season, occurring in March for the Spring Season and August for the Fall Season.

League Placement Rules

• Teams are assigned based on the oldest player on the roster.
• A single older player moves the entire team into that division.
• Travel teams are placed in separate travel-only leagues.

Uniform Rules

• All Recreation Teams receive league-issued uniforms.

Coaching Requirements

• Head Coach must be 21 years old or older before the season starts.
• At least one coach present at every game must be 21 years old or older.
