🏀 HYBA Recreation Team Registration 

Register your full recreation team for the HYBA Season! This registration includes uniforms for up to ten players, league entry, and a full game schedule. It’s perfect for coaches, organizations, or groups of friends who want to register as a complete team and play together throughout the season. There are no additional fees. Everything, including referees, is covered in your team’s registration.

TEAM ROSTERS

Roster Submission Options

  • Online
    Teams can submit their roster online with no minimum number of players during registration or after registration to rosters@hyba.org.

    • Maximum allowed: 10 players.
    • If more than 10 players will be on a team, the coach must mail the additional player names and email addresses to:
      H.Y.B.A., Inc.  
      Attn: Additional Roster Information Enclosed  
      P.O. Box 361  
      Ellicott City, MD 21041  
      

      This must be received at least one week before the season starts.

  • Offline (by mail)
    If registering offline, the entire team roster (with player names and email addresses) must be mailed to the same address:

    H.Y.B.A., Inc.  
    Attn: Team Roster Enclosed

    Ellicott City, MD 21041  
    

    This must also be received at least one week before the season starts.


UNIFORMS

  • All Recreation Teams will be provided with uniforms.

FORMING A TEAM

  • A team must have a minimum of 5 players.
  • If fewer than 5 players are submitted, additional players may be assigned from general registration.
  • To guarantee league placement, team registration must be completed before the deadlines:
    • Spring Season: March 1
    • Fall Season: August 15

LEAGUE PLACEMENT

  • Teams are placed in the division based on the oldest player on the team.
    • Example: A team with mostly high school freshmen and one sophomore will be placed in the sophomore division.
  • Travel Teams will be placed in separate travel-only leagues.

COACHES FOR TEAMS

  • Head Coaches must be at least 21 years old before the start of the season.
  • At least one coach present at every game must also be 21 years old before the season begins.
